Janet Jackson - March16th Mohegan

A fan of her music, not a huge Whiskey Myers fan. We sat on the top side, where it was difficult to hear the lyrics. Of course there was some obstruction as well. I've sat on the top near the sides in other venues and the music is clear; not sure why there weren't more speakers.

Whiskey Myers can still perform, as for the show. I think she's 44, but acts like she's 24 with her choreographed moves. She can still sing and had funny clips in her show (Cosbys and Poetic Justice). The knock on her show is medleys (too many of them) and not enough focus on individual WHOLE songs. I liked how she plowed through all of them. No fireworks, no special effects, no autotunes, just good old dancing and singing.

For her encore she sang "together again" and showed pics of her and MJ. She got a bit teary eyed. During the show, you will also hear her laugh to show some personality during her show (it's during the song "Alright"). All in all, it was a simple show and I appreciated hearing all of her old jams that made her a star.
